Our Battering Intervention and Prevention Program meets the Texas State Guidelines for BIPP Programs and has been approved by Texas Department Criminal Justice and Texas Council on Family Violence.

Accredited facility provider with the courts, probation, parole, and CPS.

Our Mission

Men or women participating in BIPPs interact in a group format facilitated by experienced staff. Group

members work on holding each other accountable and developing critical thinking skills that challenge

beliefs and attitudes that lead to abusive behaviors.

The Purpose of BIPP

BIPP is a course for men or women who need to confront their abusive behaviors and

rigid beliefs about traditional power and control in a relationship by participating in

accountability groups focused on men or women taking responsibility for their abusive

behavior. Programs focus on educating your partner on the nature of family violence,

changing beliefs and attitudes that lead to violence and reinforcing strategies on

developing an equal and supportive relationship. BIPPs should be accredited by the State

of Texas and should abide by state accreditation guidelines. Accreditation guidelines outline

requirements relating to program length, curriculum and standards for

communicating with survivors, along with other requirements all BIPPs should meet.

Through consultation, prevention services ,

and outreach, we will achieve the mission to

promote development and growth for both

personal characteristics and interpersonal competencies.

Cognitive self-change teaches individuals a

concrete process for self-reflection aimed at

uncovering antisocial thoughts, feelings,

attitudes, and beliefs. Social skills instruction

prepares group members to engage in

pro-social interactions based on self-understanding

and consideration of the impact of their actions on others.

Recognizing what needs to be changed

regarding your behavioral patterns with

 self-understanding and consideration of the

impact of their actions on others.
